Concealed-Carry Law Update

guns_firearms_smithwesson_703328_hYesterday, Wednesday, July 8, 2015, the governor of Maine signed bill LD 652 into law, making Maine the 7th state to become unrestricted with its concealed-carry permits.  Once the law goes into effect later this year, anyone who can legally purchase a firearm may conceal it without a permit.

Here is a quick summary of each state’s category of concealed-carry laws at this time:

Unrestricted States

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Maine, Vermont and Wyoming

Shall-Issue States

Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, N.
